How does Beau Brummell Introductions assess the needs of clients seeking a partner?

Firstly, we ask clients if they’re certain it’s the right time in their lives to commit. We want them to be sure. Then we meet them three or four times to talk about what they’re all about – their past relationships, their family, the holidays they go on, and their type. We create their profile and send it to a numberof other clients who are  strong match. Both parties have to say yes before we make an introduction.

Are clients guaranteed a certain number of dates?

No, our measure of success is for a client to enter into a relationship that lasts for 12 months. We can’t guarantee a particular number of introductions in a month or a year because it depends on how long each relationship lasts. It’s not a process you can rush.

What's the value in taking things slowly?

Sometimes we can get lost in life and work; we can neglect our relationships. Many of our clients have everything else sorted – such as their friends and career – and understand the value in outsourcing this part of their lives. Ina world of quick escapes, doing things differently gets different results.

What advice do you have for making a relationship last the distance?

The key is to respect people’s personalities and allow them to be themselves. Trust is really important. If things get hard, remember why you got together and why you felt this person was worth modifying your life for. Also, make your relationship exciting – have fun and plan dates. Actions are louder than words;it’s a silly old saying but it can be a really powerful way of showing your partner you love them.

What's the most rewarding part of your job?

This job requires a lot of energy, but find it exciting every time we meet a new client or make a match. I’m so proud of the work we do, being able to make a difference to people’s lives.
